Our Journey
As we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month this May, I reflect on our 20-year journey. Founded in 2005, the Renewing Life Center has grown into a comprehensive facility dedicated to supporting your personal growth and well-being. We’re proud to have helped approximately 100,000 individuals seeking guidance on living well with themselves and others.
Our Approach
The Renewing Life Center was established with a unique vision: to integrate mental health support with the opportunity—if you desire—to explore how faith might contribute to emotional and mental wellness.
At RLC, we focus on what YOU want for your life—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Every session opens the door to explore these dimensions at your comfort level. Your clinician has been professionally trained to accompany you wherever you need to go, whether addressing past wounds or present challenges.
The RLC Difference
As a Christian counseling center, we honor each client’s freedom to determine their own path. We view our work together as a journey toward wholeness—developing a greater understanding of what brings fulfillment and peace to your life.
At RLC, we believe everyone needs someone who will truly listen. Your counselor won’t dictate your direction but will:
- Provide a safe, unhurried environment for sharing
- Accompany you through your unique process of healing
- Support your gradual integration toward a more whole life
Your Confidential Journey
This is your private journey. We give full attention to unburdening what has caused pain, confusion, or disconnection, helping you discover greater health, wholeness, and a renewed understanding of life.
While not affiliated with any specific church or denomination, each counselor brings their faith perspective and is willing to explore spiritual questions about God and Christ if and when you wish to do so. This happens in a safe, pressure-free environment where mind, heart, and soul can be nurtured.
An Invitation
This Mental Health Awareness Month, we invite you to take a step toward greater freedom—within yourself and with those you love. If desired, we also welcome your questions about faith and what a relationship with Jesus might look like in your life.
For twenty years, our hope has been that you see the open door to new and greater health waiting for you:
- Come as you are.
- Come with your truth and desires for change.
- Come knowing your counselor is for you, wants the best for you, and will stay with you on your journey toward greater wholeness, peace, and freedom.
This is RLC in our 20th year! We remain thankful and committed to the transformative work that happens when client and counselor collaborate for the joy of living life well.
Spiritual Formation Institute
In this 20th year I am also delighted to introduce the opportunity to explore meeting with a trained Spiritual Director. A Spiritual Director helps you explore your growing faith, and process faith questions. Spiritual Direction works much like counseling, but the focus is on you and God…. what you desire to understand and experience in your daily faith.
Each Spiritual Director has completed a four year program of education, training and internship. If you are interested in exploring this experience, we encourage you to look on our website, where you will find Spiritual Directors and their profiles.
If you are interested in going deeper with God, I encourage you to also consider exploring the Spiritual Formation Institute. SFI began in 2014 and in 2017 we moved SFI to Mount Charleston. We use the hotel to provide the opportunity to get away from our daily life and focus directly on our faith and how to come to know and experience more personally who Jesus is.
Imagine how an experience like this might help you go deeper with God:
- Four Retreats each year, beginning Sunday afternoon, and ending Tuesday noon.
- Caring leaders/teachers with extensive theological training and experience will walk alongside you.
- An opportunity to get away from the business of everyday life and be still.
- Journeying with other authentic Christ followers who want to know God more.
If this is speaking to you and you want to know more, go to the SFI Website for greater clarity!

I have great admiration for Pat and Mark and how God has used them to help thousands of people heal and grow closer to God. Thanks so much for your dedication, sacrifice and hard work.
