A New Chapter: Expanding Our Reach, Deepening Our Roots

My daughter recently graduated from high school—a milestone that marks the beginning of a new chapter in her life. Soon, she’ll be heading off to college, filled with dreams, courage, and the promise of growth. As a mom, I couldn’t be prouder. But along with that pride comes a tender ache—a letting go of the daily rhythms we’ve shared for so long. I’ve been honored and blessed to walk with her through childhood, and now that season is coming to a bittersweet close.

The 18-year-old who no longer lets me call her “my baby girl” is stepping into her future. Watching her cross the stage at graduation was a beautiful and undeniable reminder that one chapter is ending, and a new one is beginning. I knew it was coming—but still, I was caught off guard by the wave of emotions as I prepared to celebrate this milestone.

In many ways, I find myself in a parallel season of transition—both professionally and spiritually. After seven years at the Renewing Life Center, this week marks my final days working at the Southeast location, a space that has become a place of deep comfort and growth for me. Just as my daughter is stepping into the unknown, so are we as an organization.

After 20 years of faithful service to the Las Vegas community, the Renewing Life Center is expanding!

We’re thrilled to be opening our second location in Northwest Las Vegas—a new chapter that reflects both God’s faithfulness and our shared commitment to offering compassionate Christian counseling to more individuals, couples, and families.

This moment has been years in the making—birthed from prayer, hard work, and a shared belief in the power of healing through counseling. Our founder, Pat, laid the foundation with a clear vision and a compassionate heart. Our co-directors, Mark and Jennifer, have poured into that vision with wisdom, faith, and steady leadership. Thanks to their guidance and the dedication of our entire team, we’ve provided over 100,000 counseling sessions—and now have more than 20 clinicians committed to walking with others through the valleys and victories of life.

What fills me with hope isn’t just the logistics of moving into a new space. It’s the people who will walk through its doors. My prayer is that our Northwest location becomes a haven of peace and healing, just as our Southeast office has been for so many. A place where people feel seen, known, and deeply loved. A place where God’s presence is felt in every session, every hallway, and every heart that seeks hope.

We would not be here without you—our incredible community. From local churches and partner organizations to the clients and families who’ve trusted us with their stories, your support has sustained us. God has met every need with provision, encouragement, and grace at every step.

One verse that has anchored me in this season is 1 Corinthians 3:7: “So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.” It’s a humbling reminder that all growth—personal, professional, and spiritual—belongs to God. It is He who brings the increase.

So, yes—this is a season of transition. One filled with boxes, goodbyes, tears, and hopeful new beginnings. It mirrors so much of what I’m feeling as a mom, a leader, and a follower of Christ. The Southeast office will always hold a special place in my heart. It has shaped me in ways I never expected. And as we turn this page, I trust that the same God who planted these seeds will continue to grow and bless this ministry in ways beyond what we could ask or imagine.

If you find yourself walking through your own season of change, loss, anxiety, or uncertainty—we would be honored to walk with you. Our team is here to support you through compassionate, faith-based counseling at both our Southeast and new Northwest Las Vegas locations. Whether this is your first time reaching out or you’re continuing a journey you’ve already begun, we invite you to schedule a session and take a step toward healing and hope.

Thank you for being part of our story. I can’t wait to see what God will do in this next chapter!
